Flood zone, in a parking lot?

That day went to have dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. It was sort of a team dinner, because our product manager was here from HQ, and also another developer was here too to conduct knowledge transfer on an existing project. Of course, everyone in the R&D was welcome to join the dinner.

Hard Rock Cafe KL is located at Wisma Concorde, just next to Concorde Hotel. We parked our car at Concorde Hotel, and walked our way through Wisma Concorde's parking lot to enter the building.

And I noticed an interesting sign painted on the column in the parking lot. It is labeled "FLOOD ZONE".

This parking area is a FLOOD ZONE, oh great!

It was quite hilarious to see this sign. It probably means your car might end up in water if you park here, so park at your own risk!

Kuala Lumpur is famous for its flash flood, thanks to Klang river and unwell city planning around the area, roads, parking lots and others will be under water if heavy rain continues for over 2 hours. Although billions has been spent to fix it, especially the SMART project, but the problem still persists. Like the flood water, everything the government spent is just down to drain...

I think that sign got another meaning. No matter how brillian the SMART Tunnel is, and when heavy rains come, the basement parking lot will become flood zone, a giant undergorund pool. So beware, park on your own risk!
