Today is Hari Raya, new year for fellow muslim, holiday for everyone else, so is tommorow.
My sis had this planning to have seafood at Sekinchan, since last week, on today. So it's a family day for me, where as the guys, had their own activities, movie, shopping for stuffs that needed for our HK trip 2 weeks later, etc. Frankly, I'm not happy they ditched me to shop themselves, but you can't make everyone wait for you and go along with you, can you? So I guess I have to learn up the shopping alone skill now.
Anyway, we move out around 12pm, traffics were smooth, except, when we reached Jalan Istana, cars were piling up beside the road, and police officers were there to direct the traffics. Oh ya, this time every year, during Hari Raya, Yang Di-Pertuan Agong will have open house for fellow citizen and guests in the palace. So a little bit jam there.
Other than that, upon arrived at Kuala Selangor, the traffics started to go bad. Apparently the traffic lights installed along the main road were more favor to red color, only like 3 or 4 cars can go through everytime green light. For each traffic light we encountered, we have to spend at least 10 minutes to get passed. I think the local authority really have to look into this issue.
After passing Kuala Selangor, we were now heading to Sekinchan. There were Padi fields along the road, it's been quite some time since I last saw it, when I was still a child perhaps?
Some photos I took when we walked to the restaurant.
We took a turn at the traffic light, where there's sign board showing Bagan at that direction, after drive a little further, we were at a small fishing village, and the restaurant was already crowded. We managed to find a parking space a bit far from the restaurant.
There you go, Restaurant Guan Seng Loong.
Ginny, my niece was getting moody cause it's way passed her nap time. We quickly settle down and ordered some dishes. With so many people dining here, slow service was expected, but we never thought it would that SLOW! We waited like 1 hour to get our food ready! Gosh, and frankly, the food is not that tasty too! We were charged around RM65+, doesn't look cheap to me.
Inside the restaurant.
Tofu stew with fish.
Fried oyster with egg.
Meehoon with crab.
Chili shrimp.
Filled up the tummy, we began our long journey home. Once again, we passed the padi field, dad stopped by a fruit stalk beside the road infront of the padi field, I quickly took the chance to snap some photos. We bought some mangoes. Little rain drops began to fall down.
Nice padi field sceneries.
And soon, the rain gone very heavy, until the view ahead was blur and hard to see even with the help of wiper. We had to drive slowly and it took quite a while got home.
Padi field with coconut trees.
It's quite a good holiday getaway for the family!
