To Mount Kinabalu!

I'm going to land my feet on the nature ground of Sabah, the very east island of Malaysia, on 19th June 2007. And from there, I'm heading to Mount Kinabalu on the next day, it's another will bashing, body and mental torturing, shit hard journey of my life.

The stuffs I've bought for this trip! Holy shit!

The two backpacks I'm bringing, left: The North Face Terra 40, right: Deuter Hokus Pokus (approximately 20 liter)

The green stick, Coleman Walking stick, and the knee supports, as well as the rain cover for my TNF backpack. (Deuter rain cover for TNF backpack, how ironically funny! Hahaha!)

The North Face trekking/hiking shoes, and the MUND socks for trekking. You gonna feel quick dry coolness in those sweating condition, well, that's what I was being told...

My food and energy supplies, sort of...

We started this plan like last year November, and things got heated up during last 2 months. Especially after the Nuang incident. We starting to seek equipments for the trip, preparing ourselves with information as well as items. From backpacks to wind breakers, from powerbars to training(mostly gals who went for the training, shame on us guys), we were looking at every details!

For me, I spent quite a lot on equipments, coz I don't really have most of them, backpack, shoes, etc. Fortunately, most of them can be used after this, and also I was able to get some cold weather wears from family and friends.

KK Rough Expenses:

The list excluded some minor expenses, like foods, toiletries, etc, those that small and hard to calculate, and also many intangible expenses, for example, petrol, parking and others you spent during your research time. And don't forget the time we have spent for those.

So, am I ready for the great challenge? The answer is a definite NO. With my injured knees that doesn't seem to recover, lack of training, and I can't even stuck all my stuffs into my backpacks! Dang, I'm so not ready! Hiking Mount Kinabalu?! What have I got myself into?!

UPDATED:
This is how my backpack looks like after I forced all my stuffs into it. The 2 rocket canon like thingy is sleeping bags. Holy shiet!

This is not rocket launcher!
